It has been a whirlwhind couple of months for Campus Rec and our Intramurals program. We wrapped up Fall term, moved to the new Academic Student Recreation Center and now are in the process of getting our winter leagues going.

We are offering basketball, volleyball and indoor soccer this term and thus far our registration is significantly higher than years past. We started basketball this week and have 18 teams. Our soccer and volleyball leagues are also near capacity full.

We are excited to support you in this capacity and encourage you to sign up for our individual events this term: Nintendo Wii Bowling Tournament, Winter Olympics and our staple special event, the 20.20.20 Mini-Triathlon. Intramural Sports will be offering drop-in activites for the first two/three weeks of the term and then will begin all league sports.  Basketball will begin on 1/19/2010 and Volleyball/Indoor Soccer will begin on 1/25/2010.

With the closure of fall term we have seen a terrific season for our intramural programs come to a close. We had great turnouts and competitve play in our speed soccer and flag football leagues. We also had several special events that were great: 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, Golf Tournament at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Course and our 20-20-20 Mini Triathlon. A big thanks to all who participated in our intramural events and sports over the course of the last 10 weeks. 

Last week we moved our office into the new building- the Academic Student and Recreation Center. This place is amazing. Our participants and all students are really going to enjoy this facility. Next quarter we are offering basketball, volleyball and indoor soccer as well as a bunch of other special events. Registration is now open so hurry and get your team together to play.
